My Project
While we are fortunate to have many resources at our disposal, there is always a need for more support to help our students develop essential skills and lessons that will enhance their overall learning experience. As a school counselor, my primary goal is to address the basic, social, emotional, and academic needs of all my students. One of the most significant barriers to learning is hunger, which can prevent students from focusing while in class. Having a trusted adult in the building who can offer support, whether through food, technology for on-the-spot interventions, emotional guidance, or other resources, is incredibly valuable.
By providing snacks and other emotional support resources such as tablets for on-the-spot anger management and calming activities, fidgets, workbooks and other kits can also easily remove obstacles and help students engage more fully with their lessons.
School counselors play a vital role in supporting students, not just academically, but in meeting their immediate needs as well. When students know that resources are available to them, they are more likely to advocate for themselves and seek help when needed. I am requesting donations to help ensure that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed. Your support would make a significant impact in creating a more equitable and supportive environment for every student.
