Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting mental health games and resources to help my students connect to their emotions and talk about their mental health. It is important to provide students with different ways to connect to their emotions, and having these items would offer them a variety of choices. Breathing Pals would help students re-center their breathing, and weighted stuffed animals can help students calm down if they are in crisis. We want to make sure students feel relaxed when they come into the center, so having calming lamps and easy books to read are great.

We provide opportunities for students to seek out a safe space, find resources, and join different clubs and groups to help them grow and learn.

We need a range of different materials to keep all of our programs up and running. Some other materials we need are conversation cards and games that help students open up and share about themselves.
