My Project
Mental health starts in the classroom. My main goal is to create a home-like environment in our classroom by addressing some of my students' basic needs. This includes providing essentials like pens, highlighters, and books for when they need a break from their work, as well as snacks to ensure they are not hungry.
When students' basic needs are met in the classroom, they have a better chance to succeed.
This project focuses on addressing basic needs and how doing so will positively impact students' mental health while they are in our classroom.
