Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a dedicated National Board Certified Education Specialist working in a high school environment. Our Title I school serves a diverse population, and I am inspired by the determination of my students as they navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges. In my Community-Based Instruction (CBI) class, we have had the opportunity to engage in various activities, including joining the yearbook staff, participating in school events, volunteering in the community, and serving on the Associated Student Body (ASB). My students thrive in movement and hands-on experiences, and I am truly honored to be their teacher, striving to encourage them to surpass their greatest expectations.
A digital calendar can assist my students in establishing routines, building habits, setting goals, and using visual tools to stay organized.
Together as a class, we will set up the calendar to ensure it aligns with each student's daily schedule. This tool will offer a daily overview of their day, week, and month, helping students plan for tests and proactively manage their lives. These skills will promote independence, mental health, and support a successful transition into life after high school.
