My Project
I teach classes that are inclusive of students with all learning styles and abilities. Some of the students need frequent breaks from class. By creating an area that is comfortable and away from stimulation, those students will be able to reset, minimizing their time out of the class.
I plan to create a mental health corner with a chair, art supplies, and fidgets to give students a place to self regulate before rejoining the class.
I have a place in my classroom that is somewhat separated, but is currently completely unfurnished. Currently, students need to leave the room in order to find a calm place, which is very distributive to their learning. Please help me create a calm corner equiped with a saucer chair, foot stools and stress balls!
