This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I am requesting will help students feel welcomed and safe in their learning environment. I hope to add to my classroom decor by adding lots of plants, soft lighting, and a water fountain. I currently do not have any windows in my classroom, so any greenery is amazing for mental health. Additionally, I would like to provide students with additional activities to engage with their peers that allow them to focus on building relationships. I am asking for a variety of games and activities. Finally, I am asking for snacks, as many of my students do not eat breakfast or lunch and would greatly appreciate a snack to help their mental cognition throughout the day.
