Mental Health Awareness Week

Help me give my students the supplies we need to host a successful Mental Health Awareness Week Paint Party event! These supplies will make sure we are able to have stations dedicated to acrylic and watercolor techniques.

My Project

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and our school's National Honor Society Chapter is hosting their first annual Mental Health Awareness Week. Each member will be supporting in a week of community service projects to support the mental health of students and staff. One major way we are doing this by promoting kindness amongst each other.

Our community service projects during this week will provide opportunities for participants to feel calm, make connections with other students, and experience joy with new and old friends alike.

The main event is a paint and sip, where students and staff will be able to relax, drink tea, and learn different art techniques like painting, coloring, and doodling that will help everyone destress and promote calm. We are going to encourage kindness to yourself,by painting a self portrait of our best selves, and kindess towards others as we paint inspirational art to be hung around the school.
