This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, what I love most about my students is their energy, curiosity, and individuality. Each resource I use is chosen to support their unique learning styles while promoting emotional well-being—because I believe students learn best when they feel safe, supported, and understood. I’m passionate about advocating for mental health and physical education, integrating mindfulness, movement, and emotional check-ins into my classroom to help students build confidence, manage stress, and thrive both in and out of school.

PE isn’t just about games it’s about teamwork, confidence, and healthy coping mechanisms.

Mental health isn’t a side conversation it’s foundational. I want my students to know that their feelings matter, their voices matter, and they are never alone.
