Mendon's Calming Room

My Project

Whether students are having a bad day, had something happen at home, are stressing about a big test, or need a little time away without distraction, the Mendon's Calming Room will offer a safe haven when students need to relax and regroup.

Understanding why you are feeling the way you feel and having the tools to help you regroup can provide assurance that students can demonstrate a healthy and positive outcome when they return to class.

This is what the calming room will do for our anxious students!

The rocking chair and hammock will provide students with comfortable seating, help students relax and regulate their feelings, and regroup in a safe and secure setting. All these positive items in the Mendon's Calming Room will make it possible for the students to rejoin their peers and perform well in the educational setting.
