Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Earth Day Club at our school regularly engages our entire campus in campus wide cleanup events.
The megaphones and trash grabbers will be used for these cleanup events where students are educated on the environment and their role in preserving our planet and its resources.
Students spread out across campus and collect trash while other students weigh and measure all the collected material. When we have our school wide cleanups, students are spread out around campus and it can be difficult to communicate with each group. The megaphones from this project will allow group leaders to communicate with groups across campus. Additionally, students are supplied with gloves and sometimes trash grabbers to support their collection. The trash grabbers from this project will help the supply we have to distribute to students to use during cleanup.
