My Students

I am a dedicated speech-language pathologist working with students who have cognitive impairments, emotional impairments and severe multiple impairments. Many of my students use augmentative and alternative communication to express themselves, such as iPad apps, switches and PODD books.

Many of my students are from low-income homes and I want to do everything I can to help them succeed academically and communicate effectively to build connections with peers and adults!

My students are dedicated to their education and try their best in speech therapy. No matter what they may be going through, they bring the best version of themselves to speech therapy and are truly inspiring. All of the materials donated to my kids will be truly appreciated and used to work toward their communication goals.

My Project

Boardmaker is a critical element for students who use augmentative and alternative communication! I would love to have a three year subscription for Boardmaker online so I can easily make boards that my students that are personalized for them and their school experiences.

The tactile letters and numbers would be an amazing resource for my visually impaired students to engage them in academic activities.

There are books that I would love to provide for my lessons in speech therapy including The Rainbow Fish, We're All Wonders and LMNO Peas. The Learn the Alphabet dough mats and Write the Letter Activity Center would be used to supplement my speech lessons for my SXI and SCI students. I make lessons around the letter of the week and all of these materials would be a great addition to my push in lessons!
