Meeting Needs Through Literature and Seating Options
Help me give my students learning experiences for social and emotional skills. New seating options to use while they are working. A choice in seating this will help them find a chair that will best support their learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The books I picked are are second grade level and interest. These books will help me teach my students about social skills and how to handle emotional issues that may happen. A variety of seating will allow my students to have a choice in their learning and a say in what they need. Some students learn better in different chairs, tables, or areas.
My goal is to have more resources to support my students in my classroom.
I have allotted 15-30 minutes a day for social/emotional learning. More books and resources will help with this. Seating choices will help students focus and create a positive learning environment.
My students are special because they have unique qualities and experiences that they bring to my classroom.
