Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students with disabilities encounter many challenges throughout their lives, but an equitable and quality education should not be one of them. Students should see themselves throughout the room. This is their classroom and should reflect their identities that go beyond their diagnosis.

Every child's classroom should be a home away from home where they can feel safe and comfortable.

We know children require their basic needs to be met in order to learn but did you know that students also require comfort? Standard desks and chairs can cause discomfort which then hinders students' learning and growth. Included in this DonorsChoose are fidgets, therapeutic weighted vest, and pillows for additional comfort and a variety of needs.
