I teach at a great school with students who love learning! They are enthusiastic about learning and love coming to school every day. I teach first grade students. My students live in a small, rural community. I teach in a school with over 240 students. Our school has a high poverty rate, with a high percentage of our students receiving free lunch.
Our school is a wonderful place, filled with great teachers and staff that value all students.
I teach in a classroom with diverse learners. Many of my students learn in different ways, but they are all very capable of being successful. I teach students with many different learning needs from every end of the spectrum and various backgrounds. With this project I want to give special need students basic materials that will help them achieve their individual goals set and meet their needs in the classroom setting.
My Project
In this project I am requesting basic supplies, which are bulk order of dry-erase markers, especially for my special education students to use during math class. During this time, students often need to illustrate their math problems, along with using hands-on math materials. What better way, or more fun way, for students to illustrate their problems that use dry-erase markers and boards. This also helps me to see if the students understand the concept without making it seem like additional work for the child.
I believe all students can learn!
Students use dry-erase markers and boards for many task, such as formative assessment and group games. As you can imagine these markers tend to run out quickly. Our class would greatly appreciate your donation so all students can learn to their highest potential.
