This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many of my kindergarten students come to school hungry because their families face challenges in meeting basic needs at home. For these students, having access to food and essential classroom supplies is crucial for their well-being and success.
By ensuring that my students have the nourishment they need, I can create a safe and welcoming learning environment where all students feel supported and ready to learn.
Providing these basic needs helps remove barriers to learning, allowing my students to focus on their education rather than their immediate needs. It also fosters a sense of security, making them feel valued and cared for, which is essential for building confidence and a positive learning experience.
