My Students

To be able to say, "I was taught by a Master" is priceless. Not having the tools to practice is just sad.

Students at our Elementary are excited about learning.

Not only do they give their all in academics, they take every opportunity to grow in other areas. Specifically, Science and Writing symposiums, Spelling and Geography Bees, Science Fairs, and Math Olympiad and Meet the Masters programs. Parents at our school are also very involved as they volunteer their time to assist in these programs.

My Project

The Meet the Masters program introduces 35 Masters that will engage young artists through the wonderful world of art history and hands-on learning. It offers a very diverse and multi-cultural art curriculum that allows students an opportunity to discover and learn from the most celebrated and talented artists in the world. The students require art materials in order to practice using different mediums and to be successful in their art projects. Specifically, they require watercolor crayons and paintbrushes in order to paint like Master Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Picasso, to name a few.

Students at our school are also learning to be leaders through the Stephen Covey Leader in Me program.

One of the leadership traits is to "sharpen the saw." These children are learning early that it is important to take time for relaxing endeavors in order to be sharp for the important tasks in life. Being successful in art early in life will light that spark to not only work hard but to appreciate play as well.
