My Students

As a 20 year veteran teacher, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching some of the sweetest and most hardworking students. Students enter our building after leaving a primary school experience, therefore they are enthusiastic and ready to learn. The students in my district come from diverse backgrounds and ability levels. My students benefit from direct teaching in small, flexible groups. Working in small groups allows my students to learn at their own pace and build a positive rapport with their peers and teacher.

My Project

A horseshoe table will provide a place to hold my small group instruction. Students will have a place to meet to for guided reading groups.

A horseshoe table will provide close proximity to my students to listen to them read aloud, conduct lessons and model problems.

It will provide a working place for centers and remediation.

A horseshoe table will be a meeting place to build and foster interpersonal relationships between the students and teachers in my class. Students in my class often have IEPs and need direct instruction in a small group setting.
