This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A major skill for clinical medical assistants is injections and blood draws. Not being able to have them perform this skill negatively impacts there learning. Learning medical procedures online during this pandemic did not work for our students, it was too difficult for them to understand and know how to perform the necessary skills to become a medical assistant. Now that they are in person we would like them to get more hands-on practice with these skills and also revisit the skills they were not successful with while on online. Unfortunately, we are still behind on the equipment we need to teach our curriculum.
