This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in the media center. I am between the library and the computer lab all day supporting students and staff. At any given time there may be a number of projects going on. Each with unique needs.

Our students our 100% ESL.

They are not only taking high school curriculum they are also learning the English language. They strive to do their best and are eager to learn the language. They are motivated students eager to learn the English language and master the curriculum.

My Project

Our media center moved to a new much bigger space in the last couple years. My goal here is to make it an appealing, aesthetically pleasing place for students to come read, research and gather.

We are a school of all immigrants and I want to make sure they find the media center an appealing place to be.

This project puts emphasis on displaying books and posting inspirational pieces for students. By giving books prominence in display settings, it is my hope student circulation will increase. I also want this space to be one that is encouraging to students and bright.
