My Students

My students are creative middle schoolers who are interested in exploring the world of art. Students manipulate a variety of media in our classroom as they find a variety of solutions to challenges they approach with visual answers.

Our school is a great place for learning and I am proud of the accomplishments of our students, which include recognition at local, state, and national competitions.

In addition to achieving this success, my students are interested in giving back to the community through a variety of service-learning projects.

My Project

This project is going to offer students the opportunity to create keepsakes using ceramic medallions that will help them remember this time in learning. This year is unlike any other and I want students to make a work of art that represents this.

Using the ceramic medallions, key rings, and string, students will be able to create a unique work of art they can carry with them forever or gift to someone else.

There are so many unique challenges this school year and I want to offer a creative solution to help capture the ways we were able to overcome them in a work of art that can be kept as a reminder that art has a way to push past any barrier!
