My Project

Cougar Cash is "money" that is earned by students from teachers when they participate in class, help out another student or go the extra mile. Cougar Cash can be used by students to "buy" mechanical pencils and lead refills in class.

Students love being able to use their Cougar Cash to "buy" mechanical pencils and lead refills.

Pencils are something that kids seem to forget! Having them in my classroom available for "purchase" helps them learn responsibility and keeps me from having to supply literally hundreds of pencils per school year. Having mechanical pencils as well as regular pencils makes it just a bit more special.

Having items for "sale" for students that are different from the regular school supplies they might have helps them buy into our school-wide PBIS philosophy.
