The students who take my engineering and robotics classes are a part of a large, urban school and come from many different cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. However, these pieces of their identities do not define them.
The students who take my classes are curious, creative, and in general, they are thinkers.
They come in every day willing to learn and be challenged. They are future engineers and scientists, and I want to help start them off on the right foot.
My Project
Measuring is not only a skill that is used daily in STEM fields, but it is used constantly in everyday life from baking to driving. Being able to measure distance quickly is a valuable skill that all students should learn, especially those wanting to further their education in STEM.
My engineering students will benefit from the use of different types of time and linear measurement tools by being able to collect and analyze data more efficiently and accurately.
By using equipment that will help establish a strong technical base, my students will be better prepared for their future, as they tackle new problems and develop new solutions, using valuable skills.
