Help me give my students the art supplies, markers, pencils and tape, supplies necessary to complete Federal Reserve lesson plans over the causes of the Great Depression!
My students are full of energy and ready to experience social studies in a hands-on, project-based learning environment! Even though we live in a high-poverty, rural area, these students are so full of excitement for history and politics!
These students want to use their excitement for education to participate in an amazing learning experience!

My Project
My project will give students the required art materials to complete the lesson plans from the Federal Reserve. They will learn about the terminology relevant to the time period and will be able to adequately construct and decorate cereal boxes that illustrate their learning of the New Deal and how it was made popular to the American people (marketing on the cereal boxes). They will make posters over the various causes of the Great Depression and discuss whether a situation like that could ever happen again and there will be several simulations that students work through using some of the art materials.
