My Project
CHS is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in rural northwest Georgia and is a Title One school. Students need meter sticks and scales to calculate the acceleration due to gravity for different objects, including paper, baseball, and a marker.
These meter sticks and scales will allow students to work in pairs instead of groups of five students.
This hands-on investigation will allow students the opportunity to inquiry into Galileo’s theory of falling objects. My goal is for students to plan and carry out their own investigations concerning free fall. The Measuring the Drop Investigation will not be possible without this equipment due limited equipment available in the science department.
