My Project
My students are sponges... they love science, math, engineering, and technology. They enter my STEM classroom eager to tackle any challenge I give them. With your help, I will be able to offer a one week fraction immersion experience in my classroom.
I want to take fractions off the page and onto the table. I want to put away pencils and pass out measuring cups. Young students will be able to develop a visual understanding of the size of fractional measurements as they fill containers with sand and water. Older students will be able to develop the concepts of equivalent fractions, mixed fractions, and practice adding fractions as they work through different fraction stations and challenges.
