Mathematics improvement and achievement is always a goal in my classroom. My students step in the door and are nervous because "Math is so hard," but in this classroom we move to improve confidence and allow students to take ownership for their learning. I watch my students daily build confidence in themselves, I watch their faces light up when they get answers correct and understand. I love their remarks, "I got it right, it makes sense", or "I am good at math now!"
We achieve the goals through the daily use of white boards, and chart paper, projects and coloring activities.
We make math fun and relatable and use these various everyday supplies to show our learning.
