I am the Job Developer for Roy Campanella Occupational Training Center in Brooklyn, NY. Our school houses students whose disabilities include developmentally challenged as well as autistic teenagers. We have an extensive volunteer program within the community. Part of this program involves our students participating in a meals on heals program. This program delivers lunches to the homebound senior citizens in our community. We deliver rain or shine 5 days a week to approximately 40 homebound senior citizens a day. We are in desperate need of rain ponchos for the students to wear in inclement weather. (rain or snow). There are 75 students involved in this much needed community service program. Our students are doing valuable volunteer work in our community, which builds their self esteem and teaches them to work in a cohesive group. Your show of support would be great appreciated by the students, and will encourage them in their good work.
