Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We have a lesson in Math where they add and subtract money. Most of my students know how to compute using the calculator. But to make it more realistic and develop their skills in computing and life skills. We plan to put up a grocery store inside the classroom and they will act as a Cashiers, Salesman and Business Owner. We might set up our classroom for two days and turn it into a grocery store. We will invite the other Diverse Learners to be their customers. A play money will be provided by our class. Each student will bring a play money and buy in our grocery store. We might need the Cash registers, Tablets for ordering online, play money, apron, hair nets, snacks, juices and healthy foods. Plastic vegetables and meat. Our classroom will be open for two days.
