Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students in the MCPC Theater Program have worked vigorously to improve their skills as performers. In the past two school years, students have worked together to mount two full-scale productions (The Lion King Jr. and The Little Mermaid Jr.) as well as seasonal showcases and cabarets off-campus at local theaters.

The resources enumerated below will help us build our programming and help students develop their potential even further.

-Sound equipment: To replace some faulty equipment and expand our capacity for more complex and better-mixed sound in our rehearsal space.

-Microphone belts: To protect our wireless microphones.

-Leotards, Character Shoes, and Tap Shoes: To provide appropriate clothing for students to further their dance skills.

-Curtain Rods and Backdrops: To expand our set and stage space.
