There are so many things to love about our creative, curious, 21st century learners. They love to ask questions and explore different aspects of learning. They are the center of everything we do at our school, as they encompass and empower our core values and mission of authentic learning, individualization and personalization, global awareness and bilingualism, metacognitive skill development, and innovation.
Our students are excited and energetic about learning.
They love to come to school and love to be challenged through STEM inquiry and investigation!
My Project
At our school, we are passionate about giving our students the best opportunities to explore, design, and discover. With this goal in mind, we created a MakerLab stocked with everyday materials like markers, construction paper, cardboard boxes, and crafting materials to foster student creativity and stimulate their imaginations. It’s amazing to see student engagement with STEM soar in this space, but as we strive to incorporate all aspects of STEM and to teach students 21st-century skills using 21st-century methods, we realize our MakerLab is missing a key element - technology!
mBots offer the perfect way to introduce our students to explorative technology and fully realize the vision of our MakerLab as a space for exploring, designing, and discovering.
By donating to our project, you will help students receive robots that will teach them coding skills as they work to complete hands-on, engaging projects and activities. Plus, working with the robots will help students develop collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Students can learn to program the mBots to move, make noise, and light up. With these robots, teachers and students can create endless programming activities and projects for students of any level, including creating opportunities for different grade levels and ability levels to collaborate and problem solve together in the MakerLab. Just to name a few, students can work on lessons in force and motion, simple geography, math, and coding. mBots motivate students to learn as their coding projects come to life. Most importantly, mBots teach students 21st-century skills along with coding and programming skills that will help prepare them for a bright future!
