This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is becoming tech savvy. I have been blessed to have a new LCD projector and an awesome document camera. But I have no where to put them! We need a media cart to house all of this cool technology!

We are in a K-5 elementary school in an urban school system.

My students are in the fifth grade. We are an SEI classroom (Sheltered English Immersion). All of my students speak English as their second language. They are from countries like El Salvador, Peru, and Egypt. There are twelve boys and four girls in our class.

My Project

Our new media cart will help us organize and protect our new technology. We need some place to keep our LCD projector and our new document camera. These tools are useless for instruction if there is no way to use them safely and effectively. I envision a media cart that can hold my laptop computer, an LCD projector at the correct height for viewing and a document camera to project student work. The cart also has side pockets to keep additional materials in and help me organize myself as I am teaching.

This project will allow us to use the school's technology in a safe and effective way.

I envision students being engaged in learning with the help of technology. And our new media cart is the vehicle to help us get there.
