My students need six overhead projector replacement bulbs so that our class may use the "old fangle" technology provided.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember copying from the chalkboard while your teacher wrote furiously? Then she would erase it while you were still writing! Picture a classroom with one small chalkboard that is too high for the short teacher. That is why we use the overhead projector in our room.
My urban classroom consists of 27 fifth graders, many of whom have special needs such as being new English learners or having behavioral and/or academic issues.
They are an energetic bunch of kids who love my mantra, "I Can Make You Smarter." Having high aspirations, they are willing to work hard!
My Project
Our building is approaching 60 years of age. Compared to schools in the suburbs, it looks like technology has passed us by. While other classrooms are using laptops and LCD projectors, we still have an overhead projector. Might I say, we are down to the last bulb?
To say the least, our school system no longer provides light bulbs. At just under $30 a bulb, I would like to be able to use this tool rather than run off copies of notes or turn my back on the class while writing on the board.
If you could fund this proposal for overhead projector light replacement bulbs, it will allow my students to be able to "see" what I mean and take notes which will help prep them for middle school.
Your generosity would be greatly appreciated, for sure!
