it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classroom, every day is filled with wonder, wiggles, and wide-eyed learning. My students are energetic, curious, and full of personality—and our rug is where it all begins. It’s our circle time hub, our movement zone, our cozy story spot, and the place where friendships bloom.
But right now, that space is covered by a very old, hand-me-down rug that’s been through many years, many classrooms, and many little feet.
It’s ripped, stained, and frankly a little embarrassing! My sweet TKers deserve better.
A fresh, cozy rug would help create a clean, safe, and welcoming gathering space where my students can sit comfortably (and with enough room to practice keeping their hands to themselves). With your help, we can give them a space that matches their bright energy and growing minds—because when our environment feels good, we all feel good.
