My Project
In Hawaii, May Day is a special day called "Lei Day." It's like a big party to celebrate the beautiful Hawaiian culture and traditions. People make and wear leis, which are colorful flower necklaces, and they have parades and performances with music and dancing. It's a day to honor the spirit of aloha and share happiness with each other. Lei Day is full of fun, laughter, and lots of flowers!
This year, our kindergarten classes will join the rest of the school in celebrating by singing and dancing together.
Our class has the responsibility of singing about perseverance. To commemorate the occasion, we'd like to make leis and design shirts that celebrate aloha, perseverance, and love. We're excited to craft our own leis using foam flowers and wear coordinating shirts.
