My Students

As a teacher at a title 1 school, the reality my students face every day outside of school is a challenging one. In fact, many of my students face difficulties everyday that I wouldn't wish on anyone, especially a 7 or 8 year old child. My students don't let their adverse circumstances hold them back! They are resilient and they persevere toward closing their own academic gaps.

With all the negativity and adversity surrounding the lives of my students, they still manage to come into the classroom everyday with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

As their advocate and someone who cares deeply about their success in not only school but life, I am constantly looking to do everything I can to push them to their absolute best!

My Project

Headphones would allow students to completely focus on their own online work without the distraction of hearing the audio from computers around the room. Mice would allow each student to efficiently maneuver around online and complete assignments with ease.

With headphones and a mouse for each student, the challenges currently associated with our technology time would be eliminated.

Our online curriculum meets our students where they are academically and works to close academic gaps; therefore, the work my students do online is important and requires student focus and confidence. Having headphones would help my students focus and having a mouse would help my students confidently navigate in order to efficiently accomplish lessons.
