Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have been teaching at my school for 17 years and I love it! Often I am asked why I haven't tried transferring to a school closer to home. My response is always the same I do not mind the drive because I work at the best school in the county. The students at my school come from different cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic levels and the diversity makes for an incredible experience.
My students are wonderful!
I teach a group of 19 Kindergartners who participate in the Extended Foreign Language Program known as EFL. They are the only kindergarteners at my school who take an hour of Spanish every day regardless of their ethnicity. They never cease to amaze me with how much they grow socially, physically, and academically in their first official year of school.
My Project
There are many educational television programs offered by local and public television stations. The problem is the television screen is small and difficult to see. Often times my students get distracted and lose interest due to the fact the screen is too small.
The AVerMedia AVer TV Hybryd TV Box (TV Tuner) will allow my students to watch these programs on a big screen and who doesn't love that?
The television programs will supplement my instruction and provide a fun way for the concepts I teach to be reinforced. The TV Tuner will allow my students to experience this in a big way!
