Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a fourth-grade teacher, I strive to provide my students with enriching experiences that help them grow academically and culturally. This year, we are excited to study the Lunar New Year, a celebration rich with history, traditions, and cultural significance. However, to fully immerse my students in this fascinating topic, we need your help to provide them with the necessary tools for interactive learning.
I am requesting donations to purchase headphones for my classroom.
These headphones will allow my students to listen to audio books, watch educational videos, and participate in digital activities that explore the customs and history of the Lunar New Year. With access to these materials, my students will gain a deeper understanding of the holiday's importance in many cultures around the world, and we will explore how the celebration is observed through music, stories, and art.
Headphones are essential for this type of learning because they will allow students to listen independently without distractions, helping them focus on the content and explore the world of the Lunar New Year in a personal and meaningful way. By listening to stories, songs, and videos, my second graders will develop a greater appreciation for the diverse cultures that make up our global community.
