My students are very interested in computer and video games. I want to harness that interest and use it to engage my students with interactive math games using our Smartboard.
My students attend a high poverty school in an urban area of Washington state.
They are energetic and enthusiastic learners. Most are highly interested in using the technology we have in our classroom. We recently received a Smartboard through a lottery at our school and my students are very excited when we use the Smartboard during lessons.
My Project
Children love games. My students especially love computer and video games. I want to harness my students' love of games and use it to enhance their learning through the use of math software for the Smartboard interactive whiteboard we recently received. Students will engage in games and interactive lessons to enhance their mathematics learning using this software.
This project will help me engage my students in interactive games and lessons to solidify their learning of important mathematical concepts.
These games can be used on our Smartboard as well as one of the computers in our classroom. This will give students additional time to practice the concepts they have learned.
