Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Research findings show that analytical thinking skill and scientific argumentation of the freshmen students are rather low. These also affect their ability to concentrate on things like math problem solving. Due to their shorter attention span and learning interest, students tend to withdraw themselves from the mathematical engagements.
My project MathExchange will help increase my students concentration and attention span by using manipulatives like Rubics cube and Tower of Hanoi.
A short 5-minute challenge everyday will develop their ability to manipulate and engage themselves into a collaborative and interactive feat.
There will be a finale competition for Rubics cube and Tower of Hanoi by the end of the school year. The blindfolded and normal category will be given awards and certificates.
This is a great way to encourage our students to engage with deeper academic and extracurricular activities.
