My students come with a wide range of math skills, backgrounds, and personal experiences.

Their diverse backgrounds and experiences create an environment for discussion and debate around the concepts.

My Project

I want to bring mathematics to my students through a different perspective: Books! Using novels will help my students experience mathematics in a way new, engaging, and enticing manner.

I want to provide my students with a unique opportunity to view the importance of mathematics through the pages of a novel, allowing them a deeper level of understanding.

This book will:

- Promote the standards for mathematical practice.

- Provided multiple modalities to showcase understanding.

- Invite students to make personal connections to specific mathematical concepts.

- Explore character progression through the novel.
