Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Please allow my students to view mathematics as a pleasurable learning activity where they may strengthened their math skills, as they have fun using the white boards.
My students come from low social economic homes who face many issues, such as gangs in their neighborhood, single family homes, or drug and alcohol issues in the home.
Sometimes paper or/and pencil seems to be a burden for them to purchase during these harsh economical times. I would love to provide them with the opportunity to learn math without worrying about the supplies.
My Project
In our classroom, the students are hard-working, respectful, energetic and eager to learn. These students like to have variety when learning the material. White boards give versatility to the lesson. The visual learners can see the boards of other students and have more control of their education. Grant my students their wish of white boards, markers and erasers so that they can create their individual responses.
This donation will make a difference in all of my classes, impacting 180 math students.
It will allow those shy students to write their answers and participate in the classroom. These boards give encouragement to all students, especially those that are hesitant to participate in class. The boards will help them to learn while making the class a fun learning environment.
