My students need hands on activities that are both fun and educational. The wobbles chairs will provide them with a safe and comfortable space that can help stimulate their sensory needs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district in the Bronx, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful mathematic learning experiences. The stem program with appropriate material can help my students achieve their learning goals and work experience more interactive and fun.
My students group of 8 are wonderful, funny, creative, very spontaneous and my future president, nurse, doctor ,Math teacher and so much more than I can imagine.
My students with autism love to move and it helps them to focus better in the classroom. They like to move, they love to complete hands on activities that are interactive and provided visual and love lots of positive attention. My students have many sensory needs and need to move their bodies throughout the day! This safe equipment will allow my students with disabilities to be more independent on the wobbles chairs and it can also help them calm down when needed during our stem math activities. The hands on m activities will provided them with different fun ways to learned .
My Project
The wobble and rainbow rest mat will provide my students with flexible seating . Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent math work times they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out. Then can work independently with the self ink stamps that provided students with visual help and hands on activity to learn math during our stem learning time.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work and the differentiated activities.
I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
