This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I'm a high school teacher dedicating to providing an absolute different learning experience in mathematics. I want my students up and walking around, talking, collaborating and working together. I am providing more than just math knowledge, I am also looking to prepare my students with the essential skills that are necessary for success in today's job market. Students in our classroom are encouraged to try their absolute best each and every day. Students are given random groups each and every day to ensure that we have mixed groups to increase collaboration amongst all peers. With a news stand up desk I will be able to remove the traditional teacher desk from my class to increase walking and working space. Through the use of a new speaker my students will be able to enjoy music, listen to my directions and stay focused with timers to increase productivity and maximize instructional time. New whiteboards are always needed in a a class where students are using white boards every day.
