This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.

I strive to help them become the best version of themselves.

I want them to persevere, to change their mindset, to believe in themselves, and to know that their education is so important.

From the moment they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. It is my goal to inspire the earliest learners to continue on the path of academic excellence in a creative and positive way.

My Project

Kindergarten sets the stage for a child's educational career! It is a crucial year in a child's schooling because they are the building block so it is important that my students know the necessary skills for future standards.

I believe I need to prepare my students to learn about Financial Literacy.

In order to teach students about money and money management, they need to have background knowledge of number sense. I plan to use Instant math centers, money puzzles, and a real working cash register to keep them excited and engaged.

My kindergartners will use the math games that I have requested in centers to reinforce their math skills. The games help to keep the excitement level up in math. By working in center groups they learn social skills, and math skills are improved by not only playing the games but through the scaffolding they provide for each other.
