This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are lovers of learning. Learning ignites their minds and leaves them wanting to know more every day.
These students come from a low socioeconomic background, and we are a Title I school which means that students receive free or reduced lunch.
These students come to school every day with a desire to learn and grow. They have many different learning styles and need resources to help them reach their various learning goals.
Despite the challenges they face, they know that school is important and education is the key to success!
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in my student's learning because it will make it hands-on and engaging. These math tools will make learning come alive and will help them understand the concepts that are usually tricky for young learners. We do a lot of real-world problem-solving which requires the students to pick which math tool will help them get to the correct answer. Students need a variety of options to pick from and if this project is funded, they will have the world at their fingertips.
