Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my first year teaching. My students come to school eager and ready to learn. They understand that they have disadvantages that they need to overcome. The children want to better themselves now and for their future. The items I have requested will aid them in achieving success in our classroom.
The LCD writing tablets will be used to visually see the students responses to skills being taught, which in turn tell me who needs more instructional support.
The students can use them when working out math problems in groups and when working on problems from their workbook.
The visual aids, from the posters, will go hand in hand with the topics that we are covering in class. The notebooks and folders will help keep the students organized. The work that we do as a class and the notes they take will help carry them throughout the school year. I teach "good note taking" strategies to the students in order to achieve success in our classroom and for their future.
The science coloring pages will help my English Language Learners, visual learners and my artistic students in comprehending what we are studying. Bringing art into the classroom will allow my students to engage more along with creating a better learning environment.
