My students need math manipulatives in order to practice math fluency in our classroom. We need dice (multi-sided), playing cards, and math game books.
My students love to play games that enhance their learning. Their favorite part of the day is the Buddy Game Center. They get to play math games and learn at the same time!
My 2nd grade students are extremely hard workers and thinkers.
They love to have fun and learn at the same time. My 2nd graders have a very big heart and are always thinking about ways to help brighten another person's day. Our school is an amazing place to spend our days. We are more than a school. We are a family.
My Project
My students will use these materials every day! These materials will help my students become fluent mathematicians through the use of playing games with dice and playing cards. There are so many different lessons to learn with these manipulatives. We will be working on addition, subtraction, place value, double digit addition, double digit subtraction, greater than, less than, missing addends, etc. These supplies will be very beneficial to our daily classroom routine.
This project will help my students feel successful in math.
It will also help my students feel more confident in their fluent facts, which in turn will help them become more successful in 3rd grade.
