Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Working in a low income area many students do not have access to many tools needed for school. An iPad with a keyboard is a great tool to use in our 8th grade co-taught classroom. In the co-taught classroom we have both students with disabilities and general education students.
With the iPad I'll be able to showcase and discuss student thinking in real-time, making abstract math concepts more tangible and relatable.
Giving students access to other student thinking is very important. Therefore using an applications on the iPad will allow students to view strategies, collaborate on problem-solving, and provide immediate feedback during our lessons.
Being a co-taught class many students have needs such as anchor charts that are not always accessible on the spot. Having the iPad to be able to provide anchor charts on the spot will help my students with the accommodations they need. Help us elevate our classroom to get our students become great mathematician.
