Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from various cultural backgrounds: Africa, Iran, Afghanistan, India, China... and these are just a few. We are in a community school and funding right now is very tight. There is no money to spare for the bare essentials. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
The students will spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need to be long-life learners.
They are our future. Why not give them a head-start on their long successful careers.

I am requesting a Chromebook for my second graders.
My students are vivavious students who have a natural thirst for learning. It is my initiative to instill a love of learning in all students. In order to tap into all of my students learning modalities, I would like to enrich their mathematical learning. This Chromebook will prepare students for the twenty first century as they are able to relate math to the real world. It is my goal to teach students that math is all around them and they can use math in the real world with technology. This Chromebook is a necessary resource that is needed to achieve thsi goal. This Chromebook can be used with our Go Math Program. Within the program, there are math videos and interactive lessons where the students can manipulate objects as learning comes to life. The students love to apply their learning to the real world as it relates to math.
Let's get this project funded and ring in the end of the school year with success.
