This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students enjoy the flexibility of working at different stations around the room. The addition of a bean bag chair and three floor seat chairs will provide them options within their learning stations environment. They are highly enthusiastic of the lounge station where they can independently work or read while engaging in their work. It is time for the lounge station to have an update for comfort and cleanliness.

My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.

The items chosen will increase student engagement by working in small groups with staff and peers. This includes the fraction dominoes, the learning materials working on money like "The Allowance Game" and the ATM,s. Lastly, the digital scale and the stacking metric set for weights will improve their abilities in measurement and data.
